Can anyone tell me what gauge the strings were when the EVH guitars were being sold and what would be the equivelent now ?
I was told that the 5150 strings were the correct ones, but I understand the those are not being made any longer.

Yes the 5150 set has been discontinued. The gauges were 9,11,15,22,32,40. These gauges may be ordered from your favorite music store individually, or you can buy a Classic Super Slinky set that has similar pure nickle wound strings in these gauges 9,11,16,24,32,42.
