Yep, well done America. I think it's fair to say the news has been very well received around the world.

Also, you'll now have a Hammer in the White House. Great work!!

I don't want to express my opinion on the outcome but I will add this: USA has shown the rest of the world how a democracy should work. Both candidate's speeches after the outcome was known were supreme. McCain could teach many a sportsman a thing or two and Obama promised to govern for those who didn't vote for him as well as asking for their help! That's unheard of down here

I am pleased to read the congrats from people in other countries. It's pretty cool the forum has members from all over the world.
Let's hope there will be better days ahead for us all.

    Edit: Fixed my lousy spelling.

I thank you all for keeping this on the up and up. We had two great candidates (and a VERY long campaign season). No matter who won, there is a lot of work to be done.

Pete asked me to close this so it didn't get out of hand, but I really didn't know where it was until today. I am reticent to close it now, given the level of maturity you've displayed.

God bless America and every one of you and your home countries, too.

Now, back to instruments and strings!

Putting my personal politics aside, it is my sincere hope that Mr. Obama does us all proud and performs admirably.

Due to the avalanche of medical bills I have had this year, I am currently "without balls".
