I'm gonna bet on this, even though most of us were massively shocked when the Bongo 6 came into frutition.
    So I say not a chance of a SR6 in 34" scale
bovinehost: Yes, I do agree with that, but if there's nothing wrong then there's nothing wrong.
Beth: I would compare Bongo to Tommy Lee Jones. Bad a$$ and just hot in a weird way...
cheezewiz: They should take their lace thongs off and play bass.

The 6 seemed like a natural extension for the Bongo. A brand new platform to experiment with. I don't have the same feeling for the SR. A lot of tradition behind the design.

Then again, it is always hard to predict what BP and company have planned.

The problem is that the market is sooooooooo small for six string basses and if that cahnges we would of course consider expanding our efforts there

I seem to remember when the party line was "No 6 string basses, get over it."

Glad to see companies are flexible as times (and endorsed musicians) change.

And I think that may actually happen, mostly because younger players aren't too much set in their ways. But also because I got around splendidly on the Bongo 6 I played in London, after a while it felt just like home, but with even less position shifting
