Any thoughts on the pickguard/knobs color? What else would look good besides black/black?

Edit: Oh, I've just seen on the MusicMan website that they come with a black pickguard. Question answered.

Right you are, Phatdukk! But remember: a Sterling in Europe is MUCH more expansive than it is in America. Around 2100 EUR for a standard HH version...

Which leads me to my next question: any prices available yet??

    Greetings,

Forum protocol is not to discuss pricing since it varies around the world due to local duties and taxes and also what sort of deal you personally negotiate with your retailer!! Get haggling...

That's what I'd also like to know. A small point, but it was a really nice touch on the first Dargies.

If you go by the pictures in the first post of this thread, the answer is no.

Seems that way, I wasn't sure though if the pic was a prototype or the 'final' design. It would be good to get official confirmation one way or the other.

    Ebony fretboard
    - White pearl with paua abalone insert inlays
    - Available on all models except the Y2D, Axis, and Axis SS
    - Available lined or unlined fretless (no inlays)
    - Matching or non matching headstock
So the DDII can be ordered with any pickguard and the 25th Anniversary body/electronics pkg also?

Like any other special finish option, I bet it comes with a set pickguard (in this case, black), and I would also bet my house that it's not available on the 25th Anniversary bass or guitar. It wasn't mentioned because it would have been assumed to be obvious--don't forget that the "25th Anniversary package" includes the redburst finish and quilted or flamed top.

Isn't that common on all EB limited edition basses?
I've not paid attention to EVERY one of them, but seems more the norm than the exception.

Hoping the early photos were just that...early photos.
