Painted. Nothing changes on the model except for finish color and ebony board.

Nope... correct number of strings.. just the wrong body type, and the strings are way too skinny.

hehe.. just put white trunks on your bongo and you are there

    MrM
    flats for the bongo!
    roundwounds for the fretless!

    eb customer support:
    E-mail: musicman_customerservice@ernieball.com
    Telephone: +1 866-823-2255

    trussrod adjustment:
less relief / flatter = lower action
more relief / bow = higher action
do NOT use cheap tools to adjust with. they break and scrape up your bass!

if you have a 100th namm sr4: the truss works the other way around on those!

i have no affiliation with eb other than i love their basses

Lookie here Biker4him, long time no see, hope all's well, "your" Bongo is now safe with Jack
    So you're doing 6-strings now?
bovinehost: Yes, I do agree with that, but if there's nothing wrong then there's nothing wrong.
Beth: I would compare Bongo to Tommy Lee Jones. Bad a$$ and just hot in a weird way...
cheezewiz: They should take their lace thongs off and play bass.

Nice, I would love to get the Dargie Delight II on the new Stingray SLO Special when it comes out, that would be awesome.

I'm guessing something else had to be changed to distinguish these from the first series, I like both inlays equally. The color shifting paint and ebony put these over the top for me, like Jack said, the Bongo's with this scheme are going to be off the hook. This makes up for the inlay difference for me. I talked to Brandt at T.P.B. today about pricing and was very pleased at the quote for a Bongo 5Hp, even with the piezo price upgrade I thought it was very decent for a future collectible bass (4 week window for ordering y'all!). So make sure you get on the phone and call the MM dealer of your choice, if you missed the first Dargie's or the rosewood's now's the chance to get something just as cool (I think maybe even cooler).
    My EBMM Bongo's:

    Dargie II 5Hp
    Dargie Delight 5HS
    Stealth Ebony 5HH
