    Stingray/Sterling colors

So, how often does EBMM roll out new color options for basses?

The reason I ask is that in the past there have been some really unbelieveable finishes... I'm thinking of Copperhead Bronze, Lava Pearl, Desert Gold, and the holy grail, Autumn Redrise.

It seems like True Gold and maybe Olive Gold were the last really interesting colors and they've been gone for a while. The current color options are... well... a bit conservative, it seems to me.

So, when are you guys gonna shake things up with some snazzy paint jobs?

Old school is the way forward. I've always been into the traditional colours...and now it's becoming fashionable to have those colours!

Personally, ebs look best in sunburst, white or natural. Black is cool but i'm not into black so much.

    That would be vintage sunburst

    vintage sunburst = 3 tone sunburst (Black/Red/Natural)

    tobacco burst = 2/3 tone sunburst (Black/(Brown?)/Natural)

this is how I understand it

Question for Jack... what is the body like without the pickguard, is it a bit a la Jaco or does it show all the electric cavity and innards?

I mean to ask, would it look normal without a pickguard? I am referring to the Big Al 5 SSS

Ummm... okay, you guys like vintage sunburst. Hey, my fretless SR5 is honeyburst, which I chose because it complements the rosewood fingerboard so nicely (and I swapped out the picguard for white pearlescent, which looks really nice).

But, no one's really addressed my question, which is whether EBMM on some regular (or even irregular) schedule introduces the more adventurous finishes which have frequently graced their products.

    Does anyone know?

    Thanks.

New stuff is generally introduced at the Winter and Summer NAMM shows. Summer NAMM is June 18-20, 2010.

Currently the best colour IMO is Lamborghini Orange

I remember having seen a picture of a pickguardless Big Al and it has it's cavities facing up (like a Stingray), so, yes the pickguard covers stuff.
