    when Pickup cover shape changed ? Compensated nut started ?

    * Question #1

    When MM began with Compensated Nut ?

    I might think 2004 ?

    * Question #2
    When was pickup cover shape changed for Stingray 5 ?

    From.......
    (1)

    To..........
    (2)

    * Question #3

    Any stingray 5 with Compensated Nut with (1) shaped Pickup ??

    ------------------------------

    I bought one used one and it's with Comp nut w (1). Still suspect that previous owner changed the pickup. But.... pickguard's too nicely modied(?).

    Soapbar pickups were used on some SR5s that had compensated nuts...

    -> We transitioned from the soapbar to the flange pickup from 2005-2006; both shapes were in use during this transitional period.

    -> The compensated nut was first introduced on the Bongo in 2003, and it was implemented on all instruments (including the SR5) around May/June 2006.
