    Hmmm...

If it's from your buddy Ed up in Canada, then I'd guess that they're refrigerated beer holders that mount on a motorbike....

    ...or not.

Canada means hockey. But maybe they are a
non-hockey form of body armor, wind fairings
for the grip section of his handlebars, to allow
a longer riding season in the great white north.

I have no idea what they are but he's very talented at air brushing. Hmmm hope he lives near my area. Never know when I will need some art work doing. Especially of MM instruments....

less relief / flatter = lower action
more relief / bow = higher action
do NOT use cheap tools to adjust with. they break and scrape up your bass!

if you have a 100th namm sr4: the truss works the other way around on those!

i have no affiliation with eb other than i love their basses

The artwork is of his Sterling, which is, according to him, the best and most comfortable bass he's ever touched. Ed is a double amputee and those are socket covers for some custom prosthetics he's having made.

    Cool, eh?

Talk about having the bass at knee height
bovinehost: Yes, I do agree with that, but if there's nothing wrong then there's nothing wrong.
Beth: I would compare Bongo to Tommy Lee Jones. Bad a$$ and just hot in a weird way...
cheezewiz: They should take their lace thongs off and play bass.

We'll have to ask Ed about it, he's the expert, but apparently his "modifications" make ergonomics a bit different for him. Thus, sadly, Bongo are not workable (yes, I was sad). But the Sterling shape really works for him.
