Time for a new Nut? 2007 Stingray 5 HS

I picked up this bass used some years back, it's the one pictured in my avatar. Lately I've noticed that the nut is quite low, especially on the bass strings, to the point that the strings are making contact with the end of the fretboard on the tuner sides of the nut:

Is it time for a new nut? If so, how do I go about getting one? I'd prefer to have the original EBMM compensated nut, as this bass really works.

If you are not having buzzing problems, I would not replace that nut. I know it looks strange, however, as long as you are not having fret buzz I would just leave it alone.

I did hear back from CS, and I checked the first fret clearance with the third fret capo'd. The clearance on all the strings is actually good, except the D string is borderline, not the B or the E.

While it's not the best cosmetically, it isn't a "finished" headstock, just clear satin. Not really worth the effort at this time, though I will be getting one just in case most likely.

It's perficklee normal to have some
grooves under the strings on the tuner
    side of the nut.

Yeah. It is a great bass. I do need to play it more. MUCH MORE. When I was playing out, it was my number 1. No other bass has so much range in terms of tone color.
