    Color matched headstocks question

Hi all, I'm new here and I did the search function to find a thread discussing this question but I came up empty and blurry eyed from sorting through several pages of threads.

My question is I'm looking at a stingray that has a color matched headstock and I'm wondering is there anything different regarding these basses? Just seems like there might be something to it but I can't find any info on it or why EBMM did this. It's it really just a cosmetic thing?

It's a California made bass, 3 bands eq, Maple fretboard.

    Thanks for your help

Yep, purely cosmetic. Might be something you can order through a dealer.

Thanks for the quick replies. The color is stated as being called Lava Pearl, it’s like a metallic copper. I have a Mint green Stingray now and I absolutely love it so I am thinking of selling USA Fender jazz bass and picking this one up.

Lava pearl is beautiful and a matching headstock would make for a great look.

It’s just down to personal taste providing it’s an option when ordering new. One of mine has (Buttercream) the other hasn’t.
    Personal taste that’s all
