Dargie Delight 1st series pickups question

    Hello,
I've got a question about my DD SR5 HH first series. Were the pickups constructed differently than previous models? thanks.

Pretty sure the answer is no, it was just cool paint job and inlays.

Dr Kev has this right. I like to think my Dargies have/had a little something special, but it was mostly (okay, ALL) cosmetic.

Thanks guys. I’m still loving my Dargie after all this time.

I played Sir Psycho Sexy by RHCP on every one that left the factory.

No wonder I couldn't get mine to sound thumpy and vintage.

I got a DD Bongo 5 HS from Bass Central when they came out (11 years already?!). Still use it exclusively for one of the cover bands I'm in; the Single PU is one of the hottest I've played. Love it.
