Wow ! That’s is stunning! All of it !
I honestly didn’t think they were on the street yet.
Hope all is well and the fire has been dealt with leaving you safe to enjoy your new bass.

    Looks pretty nice and clean
Is there a Reason other than aesthetics to have the Fretboard Split into two different Wood Species?
I doubt it would have any impact on sound.
Did they just add the Covers on the Pickups or are there any other changes to the Stock Bongo PU's and Electronics?
Are there EQ settings in the Control Cavity?

Very nice! I like the aesthetics of the split board. I know people talk about the effects of different fretboard woods on tone but frankly I've never heard it. Looks cool though.

Is the neck width the size of a 5 string.

Yes. It's 6 strings fit onto a 5 string bongo neck basically.

Hope everything is OK with the fire. Please let us know how it sounds and feels. I'm interested to hear how the string spacing is on it. Do you happen to have a normal bongo for reference in regards to the fixed tone control?

So, I haven't really had time to hear it. Feel wise, the string spacing is close. I used to have a 1984 Ibanez roadster 5 string bass....the very first one they ever produced. It feels like that.

I have two 5 string bongos. The neck is identical in feel, but the string spacing is very different. I love it.

When they were still a novelty, I remember people saying that rickenbacker's had the fastest bass neck...I owned one of those as well.

Again, it brings back that feeling of back when basses just had a really cool feel to them and weren't generic.

I love the neck and since its unfinished...just like my other 2 bongos.....a true gem. I'm so glad I waited on this bass instead of the bfr green 6 string or even an Ibanez EHB.

    ITS AWESOME!!!

I wonder how the “preprogrammed EQ” is set up. Is it flat or does it have a specific shape?

Got mine a few days ago. I bought it because 1) I'm a big fan of JM, and 2) I was so curious.
Here are a couple of photos of what I was most curious about.

14mm between strings. Just like the spec sheet says.

No onboard EQ at all. I guess there's nothing you can really tweak in the cavity.
