NBD! What's Old Is New Again

While I was browsing the 'net for used Bongos, I couldn't get out of my mind that mint green Old Smoothie our local dealer has had for the better part of two years. Having a little extra cash in my wallet I decided to go visit the shop... and swiftly signed the adoption paperwork

MM sure did a good job mixing the old with the new. Having played a few early 1980s Stingrays, owning this one satisfies the GAS I've had to find an old one of my own. While I like the new Special better overall, there is just enough "old" in the Smoothie to be a wonderful complement to the Specials.

I'm glad MM decided to make these available in colors beyond the sunburst; such great instruments!
