Last year in the NBA playoffs it was said that any time Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas Mavs and born & raised in Germany ) went to the free throw line he would sing that song to himself. I believe several of the arenas would either chant Hasselhoff or play the song

Maybe you could use an existing sig model as a base, maybe the Luke? You'd need the piezo on it to give it more of an acoustic feel.

It could be the Suzanne Vega model.
