I can do a visual on Friday with a contour gauge if they aren't gone by then! Taking a side-by-side photo of the necks doesn't accurately show the profile. The LK100D feels very much like my Dargie Luke2 from 2006

This is a great thread with a bunch of profiles shown via contour gauge.

LK100D, 1st fret then 5th fret. Contour gauge stops flush with top of fretboard.

    Sterling for Life

I picked up my LK100D from Brian 2 weeks ago, and I wouldnt be exaggerating if I said this guitar is absolutely perfect for me . A lot of thought went into designing this guitar as a player. I know I'm holding this up for some high praise, but I've been playing guitar for a long time and I know what I like. Thanks SBMM

    Holy Thread Revival!

Frank! Absolutely stoked that you're digging the guitar! It truly is a fantastic tool for inspiring and creating music. Be sure to get us some pics when you have it out on the road with the band!

    Is this a schill thread?

I own a MM Luke with emg pu's which until I wore the frets out was the best gtr I've owned
I bought a sterling lk100D hoping it would be a good compromise ( and checking out the like III )
I gotta say the body is heavy like a water logged piece of wood ( compared to my MM Luke )
And the pick ups do not sound organic, rather the bridge p/u is kind of peaky compared to my Luke I
And the 2 & 4 positions not so exciting.......
It was not a good deal for an off shore guitar , are there any mods ? What's the deal ?

    Welcome Okqb.

Where did you purchase the LK100D from, and when? Can you post some detailed pictures of it, including front of the guitar neck plate and the rear of the headstock? I want to be sure that you didn't perhaps purchase a knock off, or that the guitar was modded prior to your purchase.

I played one and a US L3 side by side in a store.

Unreal how much alike they are. You guys knocked that one out of the part.

Other than the roasted neck, had I been blindfolded I couldn't have told the difference otherwise.
