Welcome to Day 10 of my annual New Year's New Guitar Days (NYNGD)!
Well, my friends, it's New Year's Eve and we are about to move into 2015! But not before ringing in the new year with our final NYNGD for 2014!
Past Days: #2014-1 | #2014-2 | #2014-3 | #2014-4 | #2014-5 | #2014-6 | #2014-7 | #2014-8 | #2014-9
For our final NYNGD of 2014, we have a 2014 Premier Dealer Network (PDN) Axis in Neptune Blue with a Roasted Maple neck!
As I said yesterday, this PDN run is another triumph for EBMM. But the guitars with the figured tops are the ones who REALLY make the most of the Neptune Blue finish. You can LITERALLY swim in this top. Between the African Mahogany body and roasted maple neck, this guitar sounds warmer than most Axis guitars. Just a joy to play. Take a look at the photo where I have a closeup of the binding -- I'm not sure if the little blue pinstripe is intentional or not, but it sure does add a touch of class and reminds you that a PERSON finished this guitar -- not a machine, a PERSON. To Tomas and his crew in the factory: HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU!
NOW, for those of you who speculate and ask whether I actually play these guitars, and whether I play them out, I give you the Neptune Blue Axis live just three weeks ago!
And with that, we have reached the end of this year's run of NYNGD: New Year's New Guitar Days! I enjoyed putting these together and hope you all enjoyed it too. It's in our shared love of these guitars that we come together for 5 minutes a day and high five eachother. And with that, I wish YOU a Happy New Year as well!
Thanks for looking everyone!

(The back story in case you're new to my NYNGD: For the past couple of years I've done a fun thing that most of you I think enjoyed, and I thought I would do it again this year. Every year, I am a slacker about keeping my Guitar Gallery up to date... So, as a fun holiday thing, let's launch a guitar in the Guitar Gallery each day leading up to New Years Eve! In the past I've received PM's about my collection and whether I play all of these guitars. My answer is here!)
