wow this looks great - congrats.
one question: does the feel of the neck thickness change by taking the finish off? Im asking because my SUB1 has a chunky neck and Im hesitating to take the finish off because I dont want to feel it thinner

    Thank you guys!
There is no differences between the thickness of the original and the oiled/waxed neck because I only removed the really, really thin finish.
Before you start the process, I advise you to watch this video:
This is Why You Suck at Guitar: Your Neck Finish Sucks (oil and wax finish tutorial) - YouTube
It helped me a lot. But if you decide to do it, be patient and don't rush.
If you need help just drop me a message, I can give you some tips.

    MM Folks, please help me!
My tremolo bar has a thread. I don't like it. I always wanted to own a guitar with push/pull bar. Is it possible to modify the block somehow to be able to use a push/pull bar?

My guitar is almost finished. A new tremolo set will be arrived tomorrow, and after the setup and a little more soldering I can say it is finished.
There is one more thing. I'm considering to replace the stock machine heads with Shaller ones. Would it be a big difference? Well, I'm satisfied with the stock heads. They do their jobs and the strings stay in tune. What do you think? Is it a good idea or just a "waste of money"?

what do you mean with a "tremolo set"? Did you replace the whole thing?

I decided not to replace mine because for exact those reasons. The main advantage the Schallers have I think is that you dont need a tool whereas you need a coin or something else for the stock SUB tuners, but Im fine with that

Yes, I intended to replace the whole thing. I got the new one today and I found a huge scratch on the surface of the tremolo. I went mad and I sent it back to the music store immediately. So the original tremolo stayed in.

I entirely agree with you about the machine heads. I just wanted to hear somebdy else's opinions. I think I won't replace them. THX.

sorry for hearing about the mess - but interesting: is it possible to order a replacement by EBMM or is there an aftermarket thing that fits?

It is possible to order every part of your guitar from EBMM. You can even replace your whole instrument part by part. Only have to do is to give the serial number of your guitar.

This isn't exactly true. If you want to order proprietary parts (necks, bodies, electronics, etc.) you have to send in the original parts first, then purchase the replacement, so there aren't spare parts floating around on the market.

As well for older guitars, some parts aren't available (i.e. some EVH parts, 6-bolt necks, etc.). Since the Sub hasn't been produced for a while, that likely includes some of its parts too.

This isn't exactly true in my case. I didn't have to send back the original part.
