    The newer Axis bridges

Just wondering how many of you with a newer Axis have swapped out the bridge for a regular 1996T Gotoh?

I can't get used to the new style bridge on my Tribute...

I am on the fence about swapping mine for a Original Floyd, haven't thought about the Gotoh really. I have has my tribute for a couple of months and I don't use the bar at all because I like it to swing freely and it seems to stick out further than the Gotoh. Anyone done a swap???

It's funny. I've owned Axises (Axii?) with the old bridge and the new bridge, and I greatly prefer the new bridge.

    To each his own!

I think it would be axes (pr: ax eeze) but that's only gonna cause more confusion

    NO !

The correct declension for a plural of a word of the third group is -es for the nominative and the accusative. Thus Axes in your sentence (accusative form).

It's time to rehearse your Latin declensions :

You crazy grammar students know you can set the height of the bar with the lower adjustment screw, then adjust the tension on the swing from the rear set screw, right?

You cannot adjust the swing via a tension adjustment (there is none at the rear like the older bridges), as for the height I believe not also, I stand corrected on that one however..

    Hi Stevie:

Actually, you CAN adjust swing the tension: Dive-bomb the trem and look on the side of the brass block next to (under) the bar. There is a tiny allen screw that pushes against the side of the bar in the bar hole.
