sure, its a late 93 proto with a strange locking wilkinson type trem, dimarzio's, grover locking tuners (that make things difficult to restring, but do their job), and AXIS on the headstock. not quite what we all know the AL to be in terms of tone (single coils vs. dimarzio's), but not too much different in terms of feel/balance, except for the rosewood fretboard.
it made its way to me around late 94/95 and its the first MM guitar that i had ever played and i fell in love with it, and have been preaching to greatness of EBMM guitars ever since...

    glenn,
the green AL is '97 in factory pearl green that was used on silhouettes at the time, a color that changes a bit in the light and that i think is quite striking. it was built to be a #2 to my white axis/AL. i had to plead a bit as they really didn't want to make an AL in green...

... and here's another unicorn for y'all... MM90 in copper fire w/roasted neck; one of the last off the line... i had actually ordered a roasted neck with a rosewood fretboard, but this is what came out of the box. once i played it i stopped complaining about it not being rosewood...

I remember that color, thanx. OMG, I didn't even notice the rosewood fret boards, I must be losing it big time. I would love to have a rosewood fret board AL. Was it difficult to EBMM to do it for you?

    Side Step

Here is "Copperhead Bronze", which I think would look stellar on an AL with that same pickguard!!!
