I love this thread. Thanks a lot.
I love those flamed necks. Jealouuuuus.
I might prefer these guitars without binding though...But hey, that's just me.

Other than differences in exposure, the differences between camera and iphone don't matter. Loving those guitars too!

I have one on hand that is just a standard blue burst Morse, but we did get a pic of one of the prototypes put on our instagram the other day, hopefully this will hold you over in the meantime

And, to get back to the camera vs phone issue: The STV was taken by camera and the Valentine was taken on my phone. I'm surprised how close they are! For reference, the camera I'm using is my wife's Sony RX100 ii, not doing any touch ups or editing on the computer.

Man oh man... I'd pay at least a dolllar and a half for that... straight up cash - and I'm not telling the IRS if he don't tell the IRS!

Fwiw...I realized way back that any pics I posted on the forum came out a bit compressed from the original. I think that ends up making the quality difference from phone and camera pics much harder to notice...
Of course, a bad pic is a bad pic...

True, and photobucket may not always keep the full fidelity of the images once its loaded into your library. It'd cost them too much in storage to keep everyone's pics at their original size/resolution. That's also probably why it is so overloaded with ads.

Phones really are close under optimal conditions (eg outside on a sunny day). In less good lighting a camera with a larger sensor probably still wins.

For me the artifacts in the fabric of the chair on the first Valentine picture gave it away.

I just caught this thread for the first time. Great idea Casey! I really like seeing neck binding on some of these newer guitars! I hope that trend broadens as the "roasted necks" have here recently.
