Exclamation NYNGD: New Year's New Guitar Days! NYNGD #2017-11

    .
Welcome to Day 11 of my annual New Year's New Guitar Days (NYNGD)!

Thanks for the kind words and comments on yesterday's NYNGD #2017-10!

Today's masterpiece is an Axis PDN 2016 Starry Night. What an awesome finish in person! And a PITA to photograph -- these photos really don't do it justice but I couldn't do better.

This guitar is always around in the studio. It tends to stay tuned 1/2 step flat to Eb standard. This guitar through a MESA Triple Crown is a joy. Just an amazing sounding, warm, powerful guitar!

I'll be back tomorrow with another NYNGD: New Year's New Guitar Day!

    Thanks for looking everyone!

(The back story in case you're new to my NYNGD: For the past couple of years I've done a fun thing that most of you I think enjoyed, and I thought I would do it again this year. Every year, I am a slacker about keeping my Guitar Gallery up to date... So, as a fun holiday thing, let's launch a guitar in the Guitar Gallery each day leading up to New Years Eve! In the past I've received PM's about my collection and whether I play all of these guitars. The same question came up during my NYNGD posts a few years ago and my answer was pretty detailed and well thought-out, so please check it out here!)

(Also, in case anybody gets any funny ideas -- these guitars are not at my house. They are all in my very secure and alarmed studio facility. I usually only have two guitars floating around the house...)

Decided. I've been debating on whether to go with a chrome knob on mine. This makes it a done deal. Think I'm going to grab some pickup covers, too.

I have a Starry Night Majesty and I know how hard that finish is to photograph. A few forumites over the past year have posted photos of their Starry Nights that come close to conveying how awesome that finish looks in person, but I think yours come closest to doing it justice! Looks incredible.

I have been mostly away from the internet for the past month ... today I am binge-catching up on all your posts. I'm going in sequence and I am currently on 11/14 and they keep getting better! Can't wait to check out the remaining NYNGDs.

Thanks, Jeff, for doing this each year. May you and your family enjoy a happy and healthy 2017!
