    Setting up a Majesty

    Hi everybody,

I'm new to the forums here. I've had a Majesty for about a year now, and I still don't think I've really figured out how to set it up. Especially with the action. I've read the FAQ on music-man.com but that doesn't really help me. What I'd really like is a youtube video of someone setting up any Petrucci model with the floating, non-locking bridge.

Please help if you can. Thank you!

There isn't really anything different from setting up any other floating tremolo guitar. EBMM usually mentions using the truss rod to achieve the desired action, as if the string saddle heights have not been changed since factory, that should be all you need to adjust.

What particular issues were you having with setting up?
2007 Stingray 5 HS Cherry Burst / Maple FB / 3 Band EQ / Ceramic Pickups
    2012 Stingray 5 H Pearl Blue / Rosewood FB / 3 Band EQ/ AlNiCo Pickup
2012 Steve Morse Morse Blueburst / Rosewood FB
2012 Luke III SSH Vintage Sunburst / Rosewood Neck

Yup just like any other trem guitar

    1. Get Bridge level by adjusting springs
    2. add/reduce relief with truss rod
    3. set action at bridge height saddles
    4. Intonate

I posted how to solve that quite a while ago. I hope that it still can be helpful to you. Regards, J
