Randy Rhoads -- He was the reason that I wanted to pick up a guitar in the first place.
Tony Iommi -- The riff master. I've always been drawn to the rhythm guys because the riff is the heart of the song to me.
Criss Oliva -- In my mind, one of the most underrated players ever.
James Hetfield -- See my Iommi comment.
Billy Gibbons -- I love his tone and feel, and I could watch him play all day.
    My stuff:
2007 Axis Pacific Blue Burst (9/25/07)
2016 Axis SS Starry Night PDN (11/23/16)
    2016 Axis SS Semi-Hollow Trans Teal one-off (6/8/16)
2018 Axis BFR Steel Blue No. 45 (9/18/18)
    2010 JP6 Mystic Dream (6/22/10)
1989 Fender HM Strat HSS Blackstone
2016 Gibson Les Paul Studio Deluxe Caribbean Night
    1995 Washburn N2 Padauk Stain
    2017 Taylor 224ce-K DLX Koa
    SBMM JP70 Trans Purpleburst
    SBMM S.U.B. SB4 Black

Interesting to see Gillette listed without JP present on the list as well; to me Eric mimics JP incredibly well, but doesn't stray far enough from what I've heard to give him his own style aside from JP's influence.

I can see your point, so let me explain. Eric can play the Glass Prison crosspicking arpeggio at full speed live (even though he didnít write it). Ericís soloing on the Neal Morse Bandís ďSimilitude of a DreamĒ is more my style. IMO, heís a more natural player with better feel than JP. Not taking anything away from JP. Iím sure Eric would cringe to read this. And the cool thing is if Ericís in a band he can literally play every instrument at world class level and deliver amazing tenor vocals. Heís the best all around musical person Iíve come across.
