A few years back he sold a Pink Burst Albert Lee. He's no fool, he knows quality.

He's been using that one for years. Silhouette Bass (baritone) guitar with a FLOYD! He uses it for Back in the Saddle. Brad Whitford loves his reflex Gamechanger and was the first non-EVH guitarist I was aware of using the EVH/Axis guitar back in the early 90s.

I think it’s pretty cheesy when artists sell their free gear. They should return it if they are done with it.

2019 Axis SS semi hollow - DuBaldo Blue - rosewood neck
2019 StingRay fretless - BFR - Sierra Vintage Burst

    2017 StingRay 5 - 30th Ann
2013 Luke III - PDN - emerald green sparkle
    - rosewood neck
    2012 Morse - BFR - Dark Lord
2010 Axis SS - red flame - rosewood neck
    2009 Axis - pink quilt
    2006 StingRay fretless - 30th Ann

I like your idea. Charity auction.

While I think it's great if an artist wants to auction off gear that has is associated with them for charity, I also recognize that the fame they have doesn't automatically mean that they are fabulously wealthy. (Many are, but many aren't, too.) Free/cheap gear is part of how they're rewarded for their accomplishment as musicians, so I don't begrudge them selling it off to improve their financial circumstances when they feel the need.
