I just love the design. It looks so unique yet plays and sounds so familiar. And the playability is just out of this world. I would love to see some backstory on the construction method behind it, because it's the only neck-through guitar I have ever seen with a neck pitch and an angled headstock. I might make a thread about that, actually.

I love the Reflex too! In between getting these Armadas, I also picked up a mint Reflex HSHP Gamechanger for a flat $1k that I could not pass up. Really, really nice guitar as well. The HSH GC has direct-mounted pickups instead of EBMM's super-adjustable pickup rings so the middle pickup interferes with my pick a bit sometimes, but since this thing is 99% a studio instrument, I'm not too worried about it. It's a better strat I've ever had, haha.

Both are awesome, but I have to say I like the black more. Something about a Black Armada reminds me of a chopper (bike). Y'all should have gotten one in the hands of Hetfield :P

Also a Reflex owner here.. I see a trend here.. do we Reflex owners all love the Armada?

I'd like to get my hands on a black Armada, either trans black or all black (and no, I won't give up my blue one!)

Man, Glenn, that Tiger Eye Armada is just gorgeous. Too pricey for me, though.

Yah, agreed, but someone might really dig it and they are different than the standard offerings.

They remind me of the Chapman's one off that they made. People drooled over that one.

For sure - I wasn't saying they shouldn't have made it, or it was overpriced. I just don't have the scratch for that right now. And Chapman's custom build was the first thing I thought of when I saw it.

    Attention STERLING by MUSIC MAN:
If you guys offered a solid top Armada with a full, round neck (not that dang flat-back carve...), I know I'd buy one!

Did the Armada come with a flat back carve? Is the flat back carve similar to Les Paul's from the late 70's, kinda squarish? I never got to play one, but I did see them in Guitar Center when on vacation years back.
    EVH - Blue Quilt
    1995 - Luke I - Pearl Blue
    2009 - 25th Anniversary
2011 - Luke II - True Gold BFR
    2012 - Axis Tribute - Trans Pink
    2016 - Cutlass - Vintage Sunburst
    2017 - St. Vincent - Stealth Black

Take a break from playin' guitar and read a webcomic: nemu*nemu!

No... I'm referring to to SBMM AL which has a flatish 'D' shape neck rather than the proper round 'C' shape.
I really like fat, round necks...
