Awesome, congrats to you as well, looks great!! Looks like I'll get mine Monday, it's goin' to be a longggg weekend! lol

    I have 30 of 51

It's odd that all resellers are listing it as a "High-quality African mahogany body", wonder how that happened!

I'm not sure that's true, it's totally a similar wood and is often referred to as Okoume mahogany because of that, but only because it's a similar wood. Either way I've never had an Okoume guitar so this should be fun!

    FYI- "Okoume"
Okoume | The Wood Database - Lumber Identification (Hardwood)
    Aucoumea klaineana - Wikipedia

    vs - "African Mahogany"
African Mahogany | The Wood Database - Lumber Identification (Hardwood)
    African mahogany - Wikipedia

...not trying to start any arguments, just get educated.
My opinion is that the two are similar, but not the same thing.

Okoume is technically not a "true" mahogany. They are members of the same order, but the true Mahoganies are all members of the Meliaceae family, while Okoume is a member of the Burseraceae family.

There are members of the Mahogany family in Africa, but Okoume isn't one of them.

However, that doesn't mean that it isn't a VERY NICE tonewood, which it is. As the traditional tonewoods become harder and harder to source due to cost, deforestation, and competition with the Asian furniture market, we'll be seeing more of these less traditional woods.

Anyone know why the BFR's haven't posted for February yet? Granted I've just started following them a couple months back so I don't know what time of the month they post.
