Silhouette 20th anniversary, few questions

Hey guys!

Can someone compare the neck profiles of the regular Silo/Silo special with 20th anniversary?

Also, which pickups are in the 20th, are they vintage or high output?

There is a 20th Silo im concidering but i wanted to ask a few questions before i go and try it out.

I have both a Silhouette Special and a 20th Anniversary. The necks feel almost identical to me. The 20th may be just a hair thinner, but that may be in my head and not reality.

I don’t know the answer to your question about the pickups. I’m thinking vintage based on my ears and things I’ve read online, but I’m guessing someone here knows for sure.

If you have a chance to try it, I highly recommend doing so. They’re great guitars. There are some good YouTube videos out there with professional reviews.

The 20th Sil also was the first tone block instrument we released.

Oh i didnt know that.... Mahogany tone block?

The 20th Anniversary Silhouette is essentially an alder body with a maple top, but what EBMM did was rout a cavity in the alder part running from the neck pocket to end of the bridge and fill it with a block of mahogany. After the 20th Anniversary Silhouettes EBMM used that on the BFR versions of the Axis, Axis SuperSport, Luke and JP (but not the Koa top versions of the Luke and JP BFRs) and on the 25th Anniversary model (not sure the Reflex and Gamechanger models had it). EDIT: I think the only instruments in current production with the mahogany tone block are the JPXI and the JP Maple Top (but again not the Koa top version, just the figured maple top version).

Tnx for the info. I didnt know 20th Anniversary Silo had a tone block, thats cool. I've played couple of BFRs and they had an interesting "thing" going on compared to standard models.
