Exclamation NYNGD: New Year's New Guitar Days! NYNGD #2020-5

    .
Welcome to Day 5 of my annual New Year's New Guitar Days (NYNGD)!

Thanks for the kind words and comments on this morning's NYNGD #2020-4! As mentioned earlier, today we're doing to do two guitars -- a morning edition and an evening edition (because I messed up and the first guitar should have been on 12/18 not 12/19, so we need to make up the error). Two NYNGD for the price of one!

This evening's NYNGD is another fantastic limited run from The Music Zoo, this one in celebration of their 25th Anniversary. This Axis BFR in Silver Sparkle just stuns in its ability to simultaneously be over-the-top and understated. From its low-key ebony fretboard, black binding and black hardware to its absolutely stunning finish, this BFR is awesome. One of the harder finishes to photograph, I have some shots with the flash on (usually a no-no) so you can see just how jewel-like and sparkly this finish is!

Functionally, she has all the tricks in the Axis trick bag and does them well. The ebony fretboard is a breeze to play. Really digging this guitar. What about you? Can you dig it?!?

I'll be back soon with another NYNGD: New Year's New Guitar Day! Thanks for looking everyone!

(The back story in case you're new to my NYNGD: For the past couple of years I've done a fun thing that most of you I think enjoyed, and I thought I would do it again this year. Every year, I am a slacker about keeping my Guitar Gallery up to date... So, as a fun holiday thing, let's launch a guitar in the Guitar Gallery each day leading up to New Years Eve! In the past I've received PM's about my collection and whether I play all of these guitars. The same question came up during my NYNGD posts a few years ago and my answer was pretty detailed and well thought-out, so please check it out here!)

(Also, in case anybody gets any funny ideas -- these guitars are not at my house. They are all in my very secure and alarmed studio facility. I usually only have two guitars floating around the house...)

    I concur!!!

Jeff, I had an Axis Sport years ago in silver sparkle, just great. The black binding really works well on that.
