Playing with Jimmy will forever be one of the musical highlights of my entire life.

Not to mention just hanging out with him.

    Dang! What a guy.

"It's not just being musically, fantasticly adept. People like Jim (Cox) can play anything, from Art Tatum on to Delta. You know, anything. It's song sensibility, as opposed to necessarily... to anything else. And a sensitivity to the kind of song that you're bringing. That's very much a part of it. So it's not a question of showing off musically at all. It's not to do with that. It's to do with the song coming first, and trying to do the right thing by the song."
    -Mark Knopfler

"Song sensibility" is a good expression. Jimmy Cox has song sensibility in spades. His playing is so incredibly tasteful.
