There was a young dame named Beth
Who travelled to europe in one breath
She went above below and beneath and got stuck at the party speaking to folks with bad teeth!
Man this stuff is catchy!

(despite what Poppa said)
To meet his muse Beth he can't wait
- it's understood and read.
Last Saturday he bought a 2nd hand Silhouette
of the bass E to e kind
Since then he plays it night and day
he's in a country tic-tac mind.
All verses must at last have an end
- e'en tho they're kind of groovy
These lines with much regards I send -
Any chance of some vodka in that smoothie?
Louis
P.S. Is the Silhouette Bass, a baritone guitar or a bass? Er.. neither it has is own particular charms - try one. Playing is believing, to try is to buy in my case!
(I really love playing bass , then switching to chords!)
JOhhny Boy nice...I know you tried to PM me but please please please dont I was just getting killed with them and I know you have read my sig.....

Big Poppa,
OK, no problem. I was wondering what PM meant exactly - now all is clear.
Re: Silhouette Bass. Dave@ Machinehead, Hitchin got a 2nd hand one in last Saturday - so I had to buy it after trying it.
Being a southpaw (lefty) I've had to do a few changes: strung it lefthanded, replaced the nut, reset up the intonation, strap button in horn relocated to one of the neckplate holes. I hope it's OK!
Works fine, only real limitation is the body cutaways - being a righthanded body - means last four frets are tricky to access. (but it's essentially used as a bass i.e. low notes)
Tone is great. I'm trying out 4 note chords, country double stops & hammer-ons on the upper strings, switching to standard bass parts at will!
Amazing!
