Come on guys, don't leave me alone with all these strange British people...

    I'm there TwAn
bovinehost: Yes, I do agree with that, but if there's nothing wrong then there's nothing wrong.
Beth: I would compare Bongo to Tommy Lee Jones. Bad a$$ and just hot in a weird way...
cheezewiz: They should take their lace thongs off and play bass.

LOL.... yeah... after 2 months jobless in Toowoomba cause im 'overqualified' I got a message from my friend who I used to roomshare with in Bris. She has been helping out her cousin in Switzerland with their kids because the mum is 25 and has rheumatoid arthritis, but just got notice that her visa has run out and she had to be out of the country in 2 weeks... so they called up and asked if i could start early (i was going to go help out in June)....
They pay for flights, board, food and living expenses, plus my wages, so I'm on an emirates flight at 2:45am tuesday after easter. I can't take my bass with emirates so ill just have to buy a cheap classical guitar and play the four bottom strings haa haa...
i'll be working for 3 months then having 5 weeks to travel/visit london before i fly back and move to sydney and get the guts to audition for Australian Institute of Music (cause i couldn't afford ICMP in london ) then i can hopefully start full time study beginning of next year!!!
    that's the plan lol...

    ps. sorry for hijack aswell

edit: i will be in montreux for the famous jazz festival if anyone is coming over ....ps... BP you should so come visit

    Is it grown-ups only?

Not having been to one of these before is this like a grown-ups only drunken binge fest or would a 10 year old be okay?

My eldest dabbles on drums and guitar (a bit) and we've watched tons of YouTube vids of bands together, in particular Albert Lee playing Country Boy with BP on bass. I asked my son if he'd like to see Albert play that live and he was really keen. Is this likely and would it be ok?

We (the whole family) are planning to be at the hotel so he could probably stay for a bit and then head off to bed when everything descends into chaos and mayhem.

It certainly looks like Blind Lemon has been working hard and put together one hell of a party.

I for one am looking forward to watching the other artistes and seeing what I can learn from them, and, more so, meeting other forum members, come up, have a chat and a beer and lets have a good giggle.

I would also like to introduce my very own special guests:-

Colinboy, Spud, Smellybum, Jimmy B and DStockden.

Don't know how long I've got up there but some of you WILL be joining me.

P.s. This list is not exhaustive and I can add extra people at my own free will depending on what gets wrote about me on the forum or who I pick on on the night. On the upside your name could be removed if you can produce a bribe that takes my fancy.

    Jimmy B!

    You are very, very funny.

I particular like the tea as I am a bit of a tea-belly.

Your chances of escaping the list have increased!

Can't let you get off too easy, I am going to need at least a couple of victims on the night.

    I'll play a slow blues in E.

Whatever the backing track is, I'll play a slow blues in E.

    Badly.
