Greetings. I am trying to produce a Baritone tone from a normal strat. I'm thinking of trying the Extra Slinky set of strings ( 8-11-14-22w-30-38), throwing out the 8 & 11, and using the following set up:
E = 6 -
A = 5 -
D = 4 - 38
G = 3 - 30
B = 2 - 22
E = 1 - 14
Can you tell me if this is something you would recommend? Also, can you recommend a good 7th string and 8th string to use for the two remaining posts? Thank you.
I've tried getting some baritone strings for a baritone guitar (30"), but they are way too thick for my liking.
24 - 34 - 46 - 56 - 72 - 85 (I think it was)
