    I use EB for everything (electric guitars, 4 and 5 string basses) except acoustics. I like Elixers much better by far.

    Probably some sort of metal.

    Ernie ball studio phosphor bronze.......best sounding strings in the world for an acoustic.
    Elixirs? Rather too plasticy a sound for me but tastes differ, so try a few different ones. I think choice of strings makes MUCH more difference to an acoustic than an electric
