    Hey welcome gunshy!!
What do you normally use?? If you're used to playing hard rock, then you're probably used to a heavier gauge set ...
Ernie Ball Regular Slinkys might be a good place to start : 50,70,85,105

Unless of course you are used to something heavier??

Hey GunShy, Also if you are happy with the factory gauge, it is 45 65 80 100 (Super Slinky 2834). This way you shouldn't have to tweak the trussrodd at all (not that it's a big deal).

    Strings

    Hey,
    Thanks for responding.
Well i didn't buy the bass guitar new, so i dont think i have factory strings, so im sure what they play like.
But i play lots of funk, pop slap, double thump, and two hand tapping.
Normaly i get med. lights, and right now i have DR's, so its good for funk and still a bit heavy for rock.
I just found out about this site and was just wanting to know what music man bass guitar players think about this.
    Thanks.

You'll probably get some good input on the bass forum:
