    Mixing Strings

    I'm currently using Not Even Slinky's on my LTD MH400 tuned in Drop C most of the time. I absolutely hate the G string, it sounds like complete garbage and won't tune properly. In my opinion it should be wound, so I was wondering if I could take the D string from a pack of Super Slinky's and replace it with the G. I'm really just wondering what the difference between 24P and 24W is. Thanks in advance!

    Should work just fine!
    Or you can try our Custom Gauge sets .. they have wound G's
    Medium = 13-56g
    Med Lt = 12-54g

    Difference between 24p and 24w:
    Besides the sound difference that you are looking for, there will be quite a bit less tension with the wound 24.
