Hola! New here. Was looking up these strings to see if maybe I did something wrong with them. I have an Epiphone Les Paul Classic, and I recently got my guitar set up with the Titanium coated 11's (i already used 11's, but figured I might as well get the set up done with it). At first, it sounded and felt AMAZING! Like, AMAZINGLY AMAZING to me. However, I was told that these strings wouldn't break as easily, and they wouldn't rust...within about a week or two, they were rusting, and then a string broke within I think two weeks. So...I figured...maybe it was just a mistake. Maybe they didn't put on the strings I gave with the guitar. I bought a new pair, and completely restrung the les paul. Once again, it felt AMAZING! That was only about 3 weeks ago...and now they're all rusted again...and don't feel the way I think they're supposed to...
So...can someone tell me whats wrong? Is there something you need to buy with it and put on it, and THEN it won't rust and be nice and slidy and smooth with my fingers? Because for a year straight before I got the guitar set up last, I had the regular Ernie Ball 11's on my guitar, and although they did rust, they never broke. So, whats up?
Any answers/responce on what i'm doing wrong or whats generally wrong would be appreciated.
Well, its March 2010 and I'd think it would be safe to verbalize that the EB Titanium Coated strings don't come in singles.
