Are you sure it's the strings and not your finger sweat?

    How old are the strings?

Regardless, there are plenty of techniques for cleaning the neck to look good as new! Why don't you play hard and just clean it every 12 months?

Coated strings might help a little, but as others have said it's mainly finger grease/sweat that causes the 'dirt'. Most important thing: wipe down guitar well after playing EVERY TIME!

You could also try Fast Fret, but use sparingly and again wipe off well after applying.

I've been using EB Regular slinkys for years without that type of problem myself. It might be a case of cleaning the neck, and then wiping down the strings after every time that you play. Like others already stated, I'm thinking it is probably more of a body chemistry thing than the strings. If you try the Titanium Reinforced Coated strings and they don't seem to help, at least they will last quite a bit longer to make the trial investment not a complete flop.

    THX,

Don't worry about it!!! It's not an issue, just clean the neck and wipe down the strings - that's it.

The main thing is, play that thing!!!
