RPS is it a fix?

okay guys currently i dont use eb strings (dont shoot me!) for one reason string breakage, but latley ive been running into a little problem. you see i play an axis and i put the ball end at the top of the guitar this makes for a faster string changing than before. but ive been noticing that my 4th d string
starts to unravel. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT! so now im thinking about RPS strings is it a fix or not and is there a eb string that can take a beating.
gauge used is 9-46 and 9-48 both have trouble with the unraveling
and there is no way im going to a 52 guag to big ! HELP EB users!

If the ball end is unraveling then the RPS strings are exactly what you need. The extra winding helps prevent slippage in that area. I had a similar issue in my JP when I wasn't using EB strings. I switched to RPS a few years ago and have not had a problem since!

Yeah the RPS strings have reinforced ball ends to prevent that. But if you're using an Axis with a Floyd, don't you have to cut the ball end off anyway? If not, and it's only the d string, there may be a different problem. But I could be wrong, so I'd give the RPSs a try first.

thats whats happening what to do maybe go to a bigger guage!
i really dont want to do that..

EB strings don't unravel - period!!! Doesn't matter RPS or not, or whether you string from top to bottom, inside out or whatever - they don't unravel!! So, you may want to double check the hardware and/or related connecting points.
