How to get that pop-punk sound

I like music by paramore which has good thick rhythm parts and clean solo and lead guitar parts, currently i am using super slinky nickel wound guitar strings. However the problem with these strings is the rhythm part is not thick sounding enough and doesn't sound great but the solo bits sound good so i was wondering which strings you would recommend from the electric nickel wound collection.

The strings are only part of the equation here, but if you're talking about the gauge of strings, try the Skinny Top/Heavy Bottom Slinkys. They go from 10-52. The treble side is like a Regular Slinkys and the bass side is like a set of "Jazz" strings which is a bit thicker.

If you want to keep that light 9 high e string, you could try Hybrid Slinkys. They're basically a cross between Super Slinkys and Regular Slinkys.

    It's not the strings.

anything will work. id venture to say the strings just might not matter.

i play tons of punk and the strings are the last thing i worry about.
