well ive been using d'addario strings from the last 4-5 years on my acoustic, and have been very unhappy with the sound.. and always thought it was the guitar itself due to the lower cost of it. but today i put a set of EB extra slinky acoustic strings on (first time ive used them on my acoustic) and WOW! what a difference over the other brand. it sounds great! i mean for a cheap acoustic it sounds amazing! better than some more expensive branded guitars out there.
Once again EB have come up trumps in my books!
Im still amazed at how much of a difference just a set of strings makes on an acoustic! now to learn some new acoustic stuff
