Question: RPS 10'S or Coated 10's ?

hi guys,

for the majority of my years playing the guitar, ive always used super slinkys.
im thinking of trying either of the above. i dont know anything about about them, is one better than the other or is it all down to preference ?

im going to be putting them on my new second hand jp6. rps 10's are factory fitted on jp6's arent they so would that be the way to go ?

Hello Firks,

I used Ernie Ball Super Slinky 9s for more years than I can recall...15 or more? Then, one day, I switched to Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 10s.

It took a short period of getting used to them, but I have never looked back. The tone is way, way better.

9s feel like a child's toy guitar strings to me now...

And, I have used the coated strings, too. I loved the smooth, gliding feeling on them....BUT, I lost much of my ability to pinch harmonics. Not a good trade-off for me. I gotta have my squeals!!!

ahh right thanks for the input!. i went with the rps 10's in the end. see wht these are like and go from there
