    Ernie Ball Flatwounds and string-through basses

    Does anyone use Ernei Ball Flatwounds on string-through body basses - are regular long scale strings long enough for the thick part of the string to make it past the nut on 34" scale basses?

    I have used EB group III flats for years on my string thru 30th anniversary Stingray. The strings are plenty long and they work great.
