Maybe it's just me...but DLR is looking a lot like GRANNY from THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES tv show these days.

You know....I dig the music....I just think the vocals should've changed as well. That Van Halen vocal flair just doesn't sound right....in that arrangement.
The musicians he had playing with him were amazing though. Some of the playing in that song was stunning.

I caught him with the band on late-night TV last week... I agree the band was inspiring though Dave was painful to listen to...
Having Dave front the project seems a bit gimmicky to me.
And his smile is a bit scary, too...![]()
It's all about the bass!

Dave's still cool in my book:

He just lacks direction at the moment. TBH, given that a VH reunion is bound to be awful (let's face it, they'll argue all the time, Ed will be drunk and unable to play and Dave will probably just stop showing up) I'd be much more excited to see Roth, Vai, Bisonnette, Tuggle and Sheehan do another album. Now there was a band that was tragically cut short. Old VH was fantastic and well oved because they went full circle and finished what they started. Had Dave been on board for 5150, I think things would have gone stale. The original DLR band showed so much promise, I agree with Vai when he was interviewed in '89 that the band could eventually have sold out the Sahara!

That the funniest f@#$king thing I have seen in a while. Really, and getting paid to do it no less. I need to change careers. Poor guy got kicked off the radio and now this, but the dude has heart to keep going I'll give him that.

I think Dave comes out of that a lot better than the others, and Sammy just comes across as a self gratifying nonce (the power of editing?)
