    I don't use a parachute like Koogie !!

Just got home today after THE most frightening experience of my life!!
Driving along at 60 and I get swiped at 45 degrees.
The car takes off and goes over a grass embankment and takes off through some trees!! Rolls over and end up on its side smoking.

Firemen on the scene commented that I flew about 12 feet high!

I scrambled out through the windscreen and get airlifted to hospital in a helicopter.

Just got home tonight after some concerns over neck. Very sore and still kinda shakey after seeing my car!!

Will post photos of it when they get developed. Seems like other driver fell asleep at the wheel. She survived.

As I was driving to work away (I usually fly [in a plane]) I was tempted to take my AL with me - so glad I didn't.

Life seems so good tonight!!! All in one piece - 10 fingers and 10 toes.

So Koogie - parachutes are for whimps ha !!!

Thanks everyone - I'm sorry if I posted this to the wrong part of the forum!
    Edit:
It all sounds melodramatic but adrenaline/shock made me phone close friends, I needed to post to the forum too because I realise and appreciate the friendship here.

I have decided not to publish photos of the car as they are too shocking to show and is not the right content for "this house".

I'm doing ok but it's a life changing experience.

The big guy (not BP !!) had an eye on me that day I can tell ya!

Jeez Spud, that is horrible. I am soooo glad you are alright. That is the most important thing.

Of all the crazy stuff that has happened to me, I have not been in any kind of serioius car accident. I have had a total of 2 fender benders, just enough for the insurance to give me a new bumper. It's the rest of the things I have had some bad luck with....LOL

Again, great to hear you are fine Spud. Parachutes are over rated anyhow!

Parachutes are nuts. I've got a crazy story about my dad:

My dad was a Sergeant 1st class in the 5th Special Forces. Green Beret. He was in charge of blowing up bridges the Vietcong were using for transportation. Hence the nature of the business that he and I am in today.

His training consisted of him being woken up in the middle of a night and given a map, and then planning a route. Mental things. Anyway...

He did two tours in Vietnam, and on his last one, they dropped him out of a plane on a night jump, and he landed in a tree.

He separated his shoulder, but didn't cut himself down because he didn't know how far away from the ground he was. By the time it started to get light, he realized he was only a few feet from the ground, and he had been hanging there in the tree for a few hours.

Needless to say, after some surgery and an afterthough, he hasn't done much more parachuting since.

Out of all the crazy stuff that Koogs has been through you'd think he'd know when to KNOCK ON WOOD.

Spud!! We're SO glad you're ok and haven't been turned into spud fritters from the accident. All the best in your recovery, take it easy on yourself for a few days.

Yeah Beth, I have had some really bad things happen to me...but more importantly, Spud is okay. I chalk my "incidents" up to hazardous duty as it was voluntary. Spud had no choice and I feel bad for peeps that are involved in that kind of thing. I really feel for him, even though we have never met face to face, but we are family here. Speedy recovery my friend.

<koogs knocks on many trees and wooden tables>.
