anyone watching "Rockstar, Supernova" ?

I watched the INXS one last year and thoroghly enjoyed it. The winner seems to fit into INXS quite well.

This year it is Gilby Clarke, Jason Newsted, and uh the other dude, i forget his name -Tommy Lee or something and they need a singer.

I think the music director is working his butt off big time, arranging music the music styles the way the contestants want it

BTW anyone think Brook Burke is hot ?

at least try to sound natural you stupid bimbo, but i guess the fact that shes hot makes up for it

and the show is horrible i only watched it once, i thought jason newsted had some credibility for leaving metallica but i guess not anymore for being on some pop music show

i think the show is cool, its a bit more real than Idol IMHO ,plus i have always loved TOMMY LEE yes thats his name he is a wicked drummer...=^) Plus gilby aint no slouch and the boys are having fun doing it ,u can have the bimbo !..... im married!

I still can't believe they consistently keep that Zayra chick on there week after week. She sucks, but they keep sending other people home.

I like the show, I think the house band is simply amazing. I agree, Zayra sucks big time! She should have been the first to go. I’m sure they are keeping her around because Tommy likes to see her in her spandex outfits. This one is a little more brutal with the harsh comments than the INXS one. I love the fact the bass player for the house band uses his StingRay collection for most of the songs.

I caught part of the show last night, and I had not seen it before. I agree with MarkY - the house band is really great. I don't know if the Supernova boys would sound as good as the house band.

Prediction: Zayra will be in the bottom three (again) but still won’t get voted off. I bet Jill (the hot blonde) gets voted off tonight.

I’m curious to hear how Supernova will sound. Bet they won’t sound half as good as the house band.

Why does a band consisting of established musicians have to come on relaity TV to search for a singer (the most important part of any band) Is it not a bit risky? Why couldn't they just hire someone they knew from another band as they seem to be a hybrid themselves anyway of Motley Crue, GNR and metallica......

Simple...the same reason they are keeping Zayra around, ratings....money...its a business. And the success of the TV show is generating advertising dollars along with a guarenteed audiance that will translate into album sales from all of the exposure. There's no telling how long this band will be around....could be years, could be one tour. But one thing is guarenteed....money will be made from the show. They(the band/show) all know that Zayra won't be the lead singer for Super Nova, however she does make you want to tune in...she does something different and it makes for great water cooler conversation(s) about the show....after all we're talking about her. thats just my take.....

What I don't understand is how these guys can call themselves Supernova when the original Supernova( one of the coolest bands ever to come out of Costa Mesa,CA) continues to tour and is reportedly putting out a new record? Read more here....SUPERNOVA and here....
