    General Forum Help

I'm guessing when you add a signature it wont show up on previous posts?

Or is there a way to do it?

I know on other fourms adding or changing a signature is added or changed on all previous posts.

But I added the sig below and it is not showing on previous posts and if not if I edit the new one will that change on previous posts that it is on?

    Thank You

    Hurlamania,

When you just type it in the post, it displays in that post only. To make your sig appear on all posts, you have to go into the User CP section (yellow link in gray bar up top). Go into the Edit Signature section (link on left side of screen), then edit and save your sig.

    Hope that helps

    Hi Hurlmania,
In addition to above info, to my experience, any posts made before you add your sig in the User Control Panel area, will continue to exist in the system with no signature, even after you've subsequently added a signature.

In other words, after your initial forum user registration, if you made 10 posts to the forum before going to the control panel and creating a signature, those 10 posts will never show any signature; but after creating your signature, all posts after the first 10 will show your signature; you can update your signature as often
as you wish, but it will only show on posts made after you created your first signature.

    Clear as mud ?

[btw ... edensdad ... How do you like your D15 ???]

I love my D-15. I know it's not the most expensive, ornamental Martin out there, but for my acoustic style, it's perfect. I play a lot of fingerstyle stuff, in stark contrast to my hard rock electric playing, and the solid mahogany body provides the best tone for that type of playing.

    Hi edensdad,
Right you are; not that I don't appreciate 'fancy', but as with EBMMs in the great big world of choices, the most expensive are not always necessarily the best all around.

In musical instruments, voice and 'character' go a long way with me; I'm making no apologies for the BC15E in my family
