Well, that is a tough one for me as I like sooooo many different players...but, here we go.

    Albert Lee
Andres Segovia (if he were here today...RIP)
    Tommyindelaware (I did get a Morse lesson...lol)
    Tristan
kbaim (love to play guitar with him)
ernie1966 (loved my lesson with him....he is a MONSTER as well)
    Vai
    Satch
Several other forumites here....many, many great players here.

    Bass players

    LaRue
    Wooten
    Steve Harris
    Levin

I really try to soak up as much as I can...I have to work at my playing as some things don't come naturally for me....but, it is all good.

Yes, I'll go with Augustyn here, Melissa would be very cool to work with. There are a lot of people I would be musically terrified to work with (and who wouldn't have any need of me, like Toto, Luke, Robert Cray, Larry Carlton, mostly the guitar players that I love listening to) but I would think that I'd tend to go for good songwriters. I am naturally most comfortable as the number two guy, the guitarist that supports and makes the singer look good (and yeah, getting my little solo spots too would be nice).

So my list would be, maybe, Melissa Etheridge, possibly Billy Joel, or even Hall and Oates, perhaps Paul Simon or Paul Weller. Not people I tend to listen to an awful lot but whose songs I love hearing. Of course it'd be well paid gigs too but that's the icing of the cake and hey, I have to make a living.

If I'd have the chance to play with a monster guitar player, I' dlove to share someting with luke, mike stern, hiram bullock...

My level as a musician is o low to expect giving them something, but on the other side, they would teach me a lot...

My dream isn't really to play as a session man for anyone. I'd embarass myself, because I'm such a terrible lead player.

What I'd like to do is maybe sing with Dream Theater. I think that would be a heck of a lot of fun. I'd love to watch them write their music. I'd love to see their creative process at work. I pick singing with DT, because it's probably easier for me to substitute for James LaBrie than for any of the other guys! Of course, there are some notes I won't reach. Also, I think it would be fun to play some of the guitar parts that JP doesn't get to play live. He'll have to show me how to play them, though, but I'll practice them really hard. I don't really dream of doing much else as a professional guitar player.

I might try to see Michael McDonald today. He's touring with Steely Dan. I heard that SD plays a set. MM plays a set. The final set is MM and SD together.

I might try to go see the Detroit Jazz Festival instead, though. I'm really not sure which I'm going to do. Who knows? I may do both. I may do neither. We'll see.

hmmmmm - I don't know that I could improve on my current situation - after all I'm playing with tommy pretty much every week!

What I lust after is lessons and more practice time! It's exhilarating but also challenging to play with someone so much better - you see things you really want to do, but finding the time to work them up (given the limits of skill and talent) is hard!!!!! sigh - at least the band is patient with me....

Even though I'd feel terribly uncomfortable, and be completely out of place...I'd have to say BIFF BABY's allstars after seeing them.

Really, what could be better than briefly sharing a stage with Sterling, Morse, Luke, and Albert. Morse and Luke have long been favorites of mine and I love Alberts style. And Sterling for all he's done (and he's a monster player too).

I suppose it wouldn't have been to bad to sit in on a Led Zep session either.
