"The Bash" - Steve Morse/Dixie Dreggs

I just stumbled onto a YouTube video of this song "Live" and it reminded me of when I first heard it way back when. I have it on vinyl around here somewhere.

I remembered how impressed I was when I first heard this song and how unbelievably fast the guitar riffs were that I was SURE it was somehow artificially sped up. I tried and tried to learn to play Steve Morse's riffs. I got a few of them but some were just way too amazingly fast for me.

To date I still believe this is the fastest guitar playing I've ever heard.......possibly tied with Albert Lee. Most of these riffs are "clean", and when you're playing clean there is no hiding any slop that over-effected sound can hide.

Just a few thoughts. (I'm on vacation and have a lot of time on my hands. lol)

    Hey Volt,
Thanks for the link cause when I went there I found a clip of Twiggs Approved that I have never seen and it was also unbelievable.
