This is a discussion on Effect Pedals within the General Music Discussion forums, part of the General Discussion category; I'm interested in knowing if you guys are using single pedals or muti units like GNX4? What is your take ...

I never was much on multi pedals until I got my Pod Pro. It's the only multi effects unit I recommend. Most multi pedals sound cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for......

The new Podxt Live is cool also. The other guitar player in my band recently got one, and it's a very cool board.

Best thing I ever did was get the Line 6 Vetta II. I also have the Pod XT and I love it....both are great units that work for me.
"Welcome to the addiction!" is now patented by Koogie2k......if used by anyone other than Koogie2k....you must mail him a US nickel for each time said/typed or signed.......

I use a Behringer V-Amp 2.0 to warm up my amp, plus I use a host of pedals, like distortion, chorus, flange, eq, comp, whammy, wah...I think that may be it...I'm finally getting the tone I love...

I had a pedalboard and spent most of my time trying to figure out what new pedal I needed to get next. It was getting ridiculous. Santa brought me a shiny new red PodXT for Christmas and I love it.

I did buy the add-on packs as well. Those basically filled it up with all kind of goodies that I've been messing around with as well as creating new tones.

After hearing some tunes created on a Pod by a couple of forumites I was hooked. I was also interested in the recording capabilities of the Pod so that played into my decision as well.

I have an old Digitech RP-2000 (precursor to the GNX pedals). It has awesome sounds on board. I've been auditioning new amp heads lately, in the $1000 to $1600 range and nothing has impressed me yet. I'll probably sitck with my RP and Peavey Classic 120/120 power amp.

I saw a used Digitech GNX2 today at a local store for $179 and almost nabbed it as a 'backup'. I may end up back there yet..

For those of you using multi pedals who play live, I read a post at another forum that sound guys don't like multi pedals because they are hard to tweak? If you use your pedal live have you come across this?
