Ever tried painting your own guitar?

Thanks to the help of John Gleneicki and his book "How to create a factory finish with just a couple cans of spray paint", I've been getting some pretty good results. And yes ... these were done with regular 'ol Krylon sparypaint purchased from Walmart!

I've had pretty good luck with my own refinishes. I always opt for staining over painting, as I love showcasing the wood grain.

To tell you the truth, though, I hate the process (impatient), and will pay someone to do the job next time.

just this morning i grabbed my first bass and decided to paint my name on it. LoL

I got some of that Jasco paint removed, masked stuff off, cut out my name, appied ooze, wiped ouff paint, dried and finally re-painted

it looks like crap. i love it!
